Author: Mr. Rob Curtis

Posted In: Parish and Spirituality

Mr

Today at Spes Unica we continue rolling out our new line-up of contributors for this coming year with another feature we are extremely excited about.  From the very beginning of the life of our Congregation, an essential part of the Holy Cross family has been our lay collaborators.  They not only join us in what we do, but they also help make us who we are.  It is impossible to imagine our lives, our mission, or our vocations without them, and so to help those discerning with our community, we want to include their voices on our blog as well. And so today, meet Mr. Rob Curtis, the Pastoral Minister at St. John Vianney Parish in Goodyear, AZ.  Rob introduces himself by sharing how God led him to Holy Cross and what has led him to fall in love with the Congregation. Higher studies: A higher calling

Author: Fr. Terry Ehrman, C.S.C.

Fr

One of the new features we at Spes Unica are most excited about is a monthly post from one of our men in higher studies. For us in Holy Cross, advanced studies and degrees are an essential part of our ability to continue to fulfill the mission that the Church has entrusted to us as educators in the faith. And so each month we will hear from one of our men in higher studies about what they are studying and how the Lord led them to it. We begin with one of our men who is the closest to finishing his studies, Rev. Terry Ehrman, C.S.C. Join us in praying for him and our other men who are making the great sacrifice now to study so as to better serve the Church and the world in the future. Read More

Yet we have decided to kick off our new year with someone familiar to all of you who follow our blog: Rev. Eric Schimmel, C.S.C. Fr. Eric, who is the director of André House in Phoenix, Ariz., has graciously re-upped for a second year of writing for our blog. And as usual, he has delivered a great post. Appropriately, he reflects on new years and transitions in light of his experience at André House. Read More
