Rev. Edwin Obermiller, C.S.C.

Director, Office of Vocations

Born and raised in Canton, Ohio, Father Ed earned his undergraduate degree from the Pontifical College Josephinum and a master of divinity degree from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, Calif. He was ordained in 1996 and served in several roles at the University of Portland during his 11 years there, most recently as director of Campus Ministry. Father Ed was appointed director of the Office of Vocations in 2006, and serves as chaplain at O’Neill Hall at Notre Dame.

Rev. Kevin Russeau, C.S.C.

Assistant Director

Father Kevin continues in the Office of Vocations while also serving as director of the Old College Undergraduate Seminary Program at Notre Dame. He is, himself, a graduate of the Old College program, earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1996, and later, a master of divinity degree prior to his ordination in 2001. Father Kevin also assists in campus ministry, both at Notre Dame and at Holy Cross College.

Rev. Peter McCormick, C.S.C.

Assistant Director

Father Pete, the oldest of six children, was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Mich. He received his undergraduate degree from Grand Valley State University and joined the Candidate Program at Moreau Seminary in 2000. Father Pete earned a master of divinity degree from the University of Notre Dame in 2006, and was ordained to the priesthood in April 2007. In addition to his work in the Office of Vocations, Father Pete is the newly appointed rector of Keough Hall at Notre Dame.

Mrs. Barbara Carlson

Admissions Application Coordinator

Barbara Carlson has worked in the Office of Vocations since 2000. She is a life-long parishioner of St. Joseph Parish in South Bend which is served by priests of the Congregation of Holy Cross. Barb is married to her husband, Bill, and has four grown children and seven grandchildren.
