Two profess Final Vows, ordained deacons

Andrew M. Gawrych, C.S.C. and Stephen A. Lacroix, C.S.C. made their final profession of vows in the Congregation of Holy Cross on Saturday, August 25, 2007 in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. The following day they were ordained to the Order of Deacon at the Moreau Seminary Chapel at Notre Dame.

Originally from Leavenworth, Kan., Andrew (right photo) earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 2002 and has been assigned to St. John Vianney Parish in Goodyear, Ariz., where he will serve as deacon until his ordination to the priesthood in March.

Stephen (left photo) attended high school in Sugar Land, Tex. and received a degree in Business Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Tex. in 1994. He was awarded an MBA at the University of Arizona in 2000 and worked as an analyst for Intel Corporation prior to entering Moreau Seminary in 2001. He will serve as deacon at Christ the King Church in South Bend, Ind., until his ordination to the priesthood in March.
