Most memorable litrugy you've attended: I loved serving as the Master of Ceremonies for the Easter Vigil Mass at the novitiate. It was a joy to walk with the catechumans and candidates in RCIA and the see them get baptized and confirmed.

What drew you to Holy Cross?  I first experienced the Holy Cross charism at Notre Dame, although I couldn't articulate it at the time. I love the balance of monastic and apostolic spirituality, and the focus on community, on shared prayer and meals. We're more than a spiritual fraternity that does good works. We're a brotherhood.

The place in the world you'd most like to visit: The Holy Cross missions in East Africa, or return to Dakar, Senegal, where I spent a semester abroad in my college years.
 
What drew you to Holy Cross?  I was drawn to Holy Cross both by the diverse apostolic forms that the Congregation takes on in living out its mission, and by a very tangible joy I sensed in a few Holy Cross priests I got to know at Notre Dame.

What drew you to Holy Cross?  The joy and enthusiasm of the priests encountered on campus at Notre Dame, in the residence halls, and at liturgy initially drew me to Holy Cross. Relationships fostered with Holy Cross through various programs in campus ministry and ACE continued to inspire me for many years even after leaving Notre Dame, eventually leading me to discover my own vocation with Holy Cross. I believe the commitment Holy Cross shows toward Catholic educations is a true source of hope for the Church today.

When I made my visits to Moreau Seminary, the sense of welcome and family confirmed in my heart that these were men with hope to bring and I wanted to be a part of that.

What drew you to Holy Cross?  I was drawn to Holy Cross by the familial focus of life in the community, the joy of the men in all of the communities, and the many ministries in which the communities serve.
 

What is your favorite quote from Scripture? “If the Lord does not build the house, in vain do its builders labor. If the Lord does not watch over the city, in vain does the watchman keep vigil.
