Merry Christmas

“Christmas, first of all, at its most basic, is about faith,” writes Fr. Ted Hesburgh, C.S.C., reflecting on today’s great solemnity. “Jesus came to bring us faith – not just faith in the moment or faith in business or faith in success, but faith in eternal life. And that faith, as Christmas reminds us, normally breaks into our lives through family. … That is why at places like Notre Dame, we in Holy Cross seek to build family with others.” Read More

This dinner party at the president’s home actually captures so many of Scripture’s elements.”

Year of Faith

“Love is the cause of all faithfulness,” writes Fr. Frank Quinlivan, C.S.C., reflecting on the gift of faith in this Year of Faith. “In this Year of Faith we are called to try to deepen our faith by overcoming our fears. Doubt is normal and regular and faith can live with doubt. We believe despite our doubts. It is fear rather that is the killer of faith.” Read More
